Hola gente. Over the last few days the fishing off the shores of Quepos has remained pretty steady, with boats typically coming home with the species they were looking for. The inshore fishing is solid and the offshore fishing is productive.
And onto the fishing report... The Ojaran II caught 4 Rooster and 2 Jacks on a full day inshore charter. The Big Eye released four Sailfish and a Mahi Mahi. On her first day back fishing after the storm and sporting a new paint job, the Ojaran III released two Sailfish.
Quepos is pretty busy right now. I have noticed a lot of people at the dock and more people around town than in the past few weeks.
I checked out a pretty cool little Soda last night here in Quepos. A soda is a restaurant that serves typical Costa Rican food. I had a "Casado," which is a plate with your choice of meat (I chose Dorado) and it comes with rice and beans, a salad and some other sides. Basically, it is a huge plate of good Costa Rican food for 1,500 colones. That's around $3. I love it.
It's raining a lot offshore today so we will see how fishing goes.
Oh yeah, I put a really cool map on the site that you can zoom in and move all around to view our town of Quepos.
Talk at ya later,
Nap
