June 28th: Water clearing up, Sailfish, Tuna and Dorado

E-mail Print PDF

Hello everybody, I was at the docks for the first time in a while today and there were a good bit of boats going out. There was a storm hanging on right offshore and it eventually moved ishore and rained for a while in Quepos. I hope it didn't affect the guys fishing... we'll see.

The red tide has seemed to hang around a little longer than we thought, but boats are still catching fish where there is good water.

The Magic Moon  brought home two Sailfish on a half day trip yesterday and the Ojaran II brought home 3 Dorado and 4 Tuna on a full day offshore Quepos fishing charter.

For a little more information on the red water that can change the fishing report drastically, check out the popular link "What is the red tide?" above.

Hope everyone is well... talk to you soon.
