With the top month of the year for Sailfishing here, we are seeing some average bites for recent days. What is really cool though is that the Marlin are still showing their faces!
The Caribsea raised 7 and released 3 Sailfish on January 2nd. Not a bad day for Nancy Tucker.
Fisherman Tucker brooks hooked into a 350lb Marlin on the Three Brothers, but lost the fish after 10 minutes. I sure hope that wasn't his first Marlin experience!
On the Quepos front, the city is really changing. I have seen Quepos slowly change over the past 7 years from a small yet busy fishing town into a crazy, loud and booming place, moving towards being an Americanized city.
Police force is now visibly patrolling not only Quepos, but the Manuel Antonio area and ML Antonio beach. There are more and more shops, stores, restaurants and hotels that pop up every day... and the Marina is actually moving along.
A friend from Florida was recently commenting on the change that is taking place and it made me think about how different Quepos used to be.
Then my friend who was born and raised in Quepos, Nino, went back to visit after being gone for almost three years. The amount of change was staggering to him. He couldn't say enough about how much business and construction was going on.
I guess if a place is this amazing, it is bound to happen... and what an amazing place!
I just listed the first house in the Quepos Real Estate Report Section on the site. This is a pre-construction deal that will be raised when construction is complete. This house is exclusively listed with me until completion. Shoot me an This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
