April 19th: Sailfish, Marlin and Inshore Grouper

E-mail Print PDF

Boats are still releasing between 5 and 8 Sailfish on offshore charters right now... pretty exciting. I have also heard of some boats releasing Marlin in the last few days, one boat released two in one day!

We decided to go out today because of a no show at the dock and a lack of fish in my freezer. We went on the Precedent to the "secret rock" off the coast of Manuel Antonio and we did pretty well, landing one nice Grouper and some medium Snapper in a few hours of fishing. We lost plenty of what we think were bigger Snapper to the rocks.  Oh well, we got enough for some Grouper fingers tonight.

Also, as the season slows down it is harder and harder for me to get photos off of people for the fishing report... so if you have some photos you would like to share, shoot me an email with a few of them... you can never have enough photos in my opinion.

 Talk to you soon,
